October
From Confederation to Contemporary
Canadian Poets Write of October
Edited by Katherine L. Gordon
Forward by James Deahl
Poetry and Good Cheer Press is releasing OCTOBER, a small Canadian collector's anthology of 6 great Confederation poets and 6 living contemporary poets, all of whom wrote of October. Their visions mesh amazingly. A link from the pioneer past to the poets of to-day. This will be the first of 4 seasons as explored by the late greats and the people's poets among us. Glowing cover and inside pictures to enhance the theme. Edited by Katherine L. Gordon. $5.00 per copy.

20 Pages, with 12 poems by various authors, living and dead. Also, 6 B&W photos by Susan E. Smith, World-Famous Photojournalist. Cover photo and design by Katherine L. Gordon. For information write lennypoetn@yahoo.com
The idea for this little collection was sparked by two events. First, I was listening to CFMX-FM when the host of its afternoon program recited "Indian Summer" by William Wilfred Campbell. A very few days later, Jeff Seffinga and I visited Katherine Gordon at her estate for an afternoon of poetry talk and good cheer. As the muse directed things, our visit occurred on a perfect day near the close of October, with the trees at their autumnal peak and the merest hint of winter at the back of the wind.
